Why
at stores each job as a shell script under the spool directory, prefixed by a dump of the environment as it was at submission time. atq (equivalently `at -l`) answers what is queued; `at -c` answers what a specific job will do; atrm (equivalently `at -r`) removes it. Reading the job with -c is also how you discover which working directory and umask it will inherit.
