Case sensitive — Linux is, and grading LS as ls would teach a falsehood.
Why
-u names the crontab to act on and may be combined with -l, -e or -r. Only root may use -u; an ordinary user always acts on their own crontab. Note that -u affects only per-user crontabs, so it will not show jobs bob's account runs from /etc/crontab or /etc/cron.d, which have to be inspected as files.
