Not correct Physical extent (PE)

Wrong. A physical extent is the fixed-size allocation unit a volume group divides its physical volumes into; it is an internal unit, not something you create on a disk.

Not correct Volume group (VG)

Wrong. A volume group is the pool built from one or more physical volumes with vgcreate. It is not created on a partition directly.

Not correct Logical volume (LV)

Wrong. A logical volume is carved out of a volume group with lvcreate and is the block device you actually put a filesystem on.

Correct Physical volume (PV)

Correct. pvcreate labels a partition or whole disk as a physical volume; PVs are then grouped into a volume group.

Why

The LVM stack runs bottom-up: pvcreate makes physical volumes out of partitions or disks, vgcreate pools PVs into a volume group, lvcreate carves logical volumes out of that group, and you then run mkfs on the logical volume. Space is allocated in physical extents, which is why a VG's capacity is always a whole number of extents.
